Phuket Island, The Phuket 's history in the old day, the area of the phuket island was called Maneekram or JungCeylon or Phukead which it means in Thai "Glass Mountain" but later is deviation to Phuket. Phuket is the biggest island in Thailand, located in Andaman sea off southern Thailand and is a southern provinces of Thailand. Neighbouring provinces are Phang Nga and Krabi. The area of Phuket is around 543 square kilometres, is approximately the size of Singapore. Phuket is away from Bangkok around 862 kilometres. How to get to Phuket is by road or by plane. But before reach Phuket city we have to pass the Thao Thep Krasattri and Thao Si Sunthon monument. The story of Thai horoine in 1785 AD when Phuket was surrounded by Burmese troops who invaded Thailand. It was under the command of Chan,the widow of the governor and her sister,Muk who united local people and soilders successfully fought and drove burmese out of Phuket. It took over 30 days of the defending troops of Phuket, under the command of Chan and Muk, to claim their victory. As a result ,noble title were granted to chan and Muk as Thao Thep Krasattri and Thao Si Sunthon respectively to honor them. Phuket, nowaday is a world famous tourist place in the world. It is well known as "Pearl of Andaman Sea" with many beautiful sandy beaches and emerald water with and abundance of marine life. Phuket has full of luxury hotels and facilities provided to the tourists all over the world. Wat (temple)Chalong, Wat Chalong is the most important Buddhist temple in Phuket. The temple is highly respected among Thai people for it healing powers. This story was in 1876, during the reign of King Rama 5, there was a rebellion by Chinese tin miners,called themselves "Angyee". Luang Por Chaem(Leader of the monk) helped to stop the rebellion and help Thais in healing those wounded during the fighting. Evenually Thais won and brought back peace to Phuket again then Luang Por chaem has become well known to the Thais throught out the country. Inside the chapel of Wat Chalong also contained the statues of three of the temples most venerated monks Luang Por Chaem, Luang Por Chuang and Luang Por Gluam.
   
  Patong Beach,The most famous beach in Phuket , it is a long curve bay with crystal clear water and very beautiful white sandy beach also suitable for swimming,diving and enjoy water sports games such as jetski,windsurfing,snorkeling and parasailing, It is located approximately 15 kilometres from the Phuket city. Patong Beach is similar to Pattaya Beach,eastern of Thailand. It 's full of a wide range of accommodations and shopping places and night entertainments.
   
   
  Phrom Thep Cape, "Phrom" is Thai for Hindu "Brahma" signifying purity, and "Thep" means "God" Promthep is the most beautiful place to see Phuket 's famous sunset. It is located next to the Rawae Beach around 2 kilimetres. It is a cape on the extreme south end of Phuket. Local people always call "Leam Jao" (The Gods ' Cape). From the cliffs can walk down to the end of the cape at the sea is a line of Palm trees and can also look out at the Emerald green sea water, that is very beautiful scenery, and a road leads northwest to Nai Han Beach.    
       
   
  Similan islands, Similan islands have beautiful sandy beaches, smooth granite boulders which tumble down into the sea and emerald water with an abundance of marine life. The group of eight islands lie to the northwest of Phuket, in a National marine park. The Similan Islands offer the unique chance of diving with whale sharks. The coral is exceptionally varied and the water incredibly clear and calm. The island group is ranked one of the top 10 diving destination in the world.
   
       
   
  Coral Island, The small island, known as Koh Hae in thai, is one day trip, due to the fact that it takes only 20 minutes by speedboat from Phuket, Coral Island is beautiful beach with crystal clear water which is perfect for watersports such parasailing, snorkeling, saling and scuba diving.There are also several good seafood restaurants on the island.    
       
   
  Phang Ngo Bay, Phang Nga Bay is incredibly scenic with limestone islands rising out of the sea. Highlights include Panak and Hong islands, surrounded with sheer cliffs and mangrove forests.   Phi Phi island, It is located in Southeast of Phuket ,and is away from Phuket around 40 kilometres with the attraction of the spectacular rock walls rising from crystal clear seas and beautiful beaches where is ideal for diving to see the coral reef under the sea.The fastest and safety way to Phi Phi island is by speed boat. Visit Phi Phi Ley and the Viking cave with paintings of sail boats,which look similar to Viking ships.    
       
   
Phuket pearls farms and factorys, Phuket island has many pearl farms and factorys,these places such as in Rang Noi island, Rang Yai island,Naga Noi island,Muk island and etc. Especially in Rang Yai island which take around 15 minutes by boat from Phuket island covered with coconut and pine trees and white sandy beach.
